Adoption

How much does it cost?

Nothing at all, but we do advise you to keep in touch so that you can get the up to date information from us. We also ask that if you no longer want the Tortoise that you donate it back to BATK, so that the Tortoise can again be found a wonderful caring home.

What are the requirements to adopt your Tortoise

That you have fulfilled the rehoming criteria throughout the time you have fostered the Tortoise. If in the future the Tortoise becomes ill that you will contact BATK for advice on suitable vets. You are asked to remain a member so that you can keep up with new information. To adopt your Tortoise you must have been a member of BATK for 5 yrs and fostered the Tortoise that you wish to adopt for 2 yrs. We will ask you for a copy of your weights and measuring forms to go with the application.
